Hello there all and welcome to your penultimate newsletter from me as your club secretary!
Just a couple of things to cover this week, as well as a message from your wonderful social sec to pass on. Hope everyone had fun on the Otley Run, I certainly did when I eventually joined you and I managed to eat a burger in my sleep so I was pretty impressed!
This Wednesday we will have the sign-up for a Sunday hike to the Lake District to Ambleside, which means not only lovely cafes and gear shops but gorgeous fells as well! There’s only 24 spaces so sign-up fast! As always we will be in the student resource lounge between 11.45 and 12.15, so see you then!
Just to be clear, the bus on Sunday will be leaving Leeds at 7.30 am and returning at around 6.30 pm and we will hopefully all go for a curry.
Finally, next Wednesday is the A.G.M which is going to be at 7.45 pm in the Conference Room in the A.R.C. (upstairs in the union). So for anyone thinking of standing get your speeches ready! And as I’ve said in the past feel free to ask any of the current committee for any hints or advice.
Just before I hand the rest of this email over to Amy, I will be sending out a very important email in the next couple of days so please keep an eye out for this in you inbox. In anyone knows of anyone who is a club member and still not receiving the newsletter (something to do with the uni email system I’m afraid and we can’t seem to fix) please pass that email on.

Hey guys, for those of you who have seen this on face book and the forum sorry to be pestering you yet again.
But for those of you who don’t already know I’m getting club hoodies made. They will be bottle green with the club logo embroidered on the front. They will probably cost around £20 (this depends on the number we order etc) so if possible can you reply by Friday morning so I can decide a set price.
If you want one can you either get on our chat forum and post in the topic titled Hoodies in the old bar (follow links from the website home page (www.leedshike.co.uk), send me a facebook message or email social@ leedshike.co.uk. If you are doing it by email make the subject hikesoc hoodies so it doesn’t get lost in all the spam I receive.
I need to know what your size is (S, M, L, XL or XXL) and whether or not you want it personalised (i.e. with your name and or year)
| Also if anyone is interested some of us are thinking of going to see the 5 20 showing of There will blood pre social at the Light. If you want to come along we will be meeting from 5 05 near the ticket desk so people have time to buy their tickets (there’s always a long queue on a Wednesday) Hope to see you on the social on Wednesday 8 30 in the Vic as usual, after the pub we will hopefully going to Hi-fi (it’s motown night on a Wednesday) Amy | |
