Hello all!
Sorry about this coming out this morning but those of us who went to Scotland only got back late last night. Hope you all had a good weekend, we certainly did!
Firstly this week we have sign-up tomorrow (Wednesday) between 11.45 and 12.15 in the student resource lounge in the ARC. This is for Sundays hike to the Howgill Fells; we will be leaving at 7.30 on Sunday morning as it’s a bit further to go and hopefully returning to Leeds for a curry at about 6.30.
Secondly, can anyone who wants to enter the photo competition please send your entries to Abby (webmaster@leedshike.co.uk), put them on disc in the pigeon hole or bring them to the social BY THE END OF TOMORROW. The photos don’t need to be a work of photographic genius but just one that you took and particularly liked. Once again the categories at Sunday/Weekend Trip, Social Event (this can include any pictures from the evenings of weekend trips) and Winter Trips. We always have good prizes so it’s worth just entering and seeing what happens! The winners will be announced at the AGM next Wednesday (5th March), which if you remember is in the Conference Room in the ARC at 7.45, for any of you who fancy standing for a committee position get those speeches ready (not nearly as scary as it sounds).
Finally, it’s this terms Otley Run on Friday (22nd Feb). We will be in Woodies at 5.30 then moving on down the Otley Road as the evening progresses so feel free to join us at any point! The theme is your initials, so if your initials were “H.M” you could be a Huge Monster or the Honey Monster, the only limit is your imagination! We will be in the Vic tomorrow as usual from 8.30 and possibly heading on somewhere after so just pop down and see.
