Hi All and welcome from your new committee
We are running an Easter trip to Loch Lomond which goes this Saturday 15th March until Tuesday the 18th for which we are holding a sign up on Wednesday in the usual place (student resource lounge in the ARC in the union) from 11.45 until 12.15. We are going to be camping on the glorious eastern shores of Loch Lomond, where the campsite has very good facilities including a beach and hot showers. Because we are expecting wintry conditions we are looking to run some winter routes along with our usual easy medium and hard walks. The winter walks will be limited to those who have had previous winter walking experience with the club and who have crampon compatible boots (b1 or above), so for those wanting to do some more winter walking please remember to bring your winter boots.
Everyone should remember to bring all their warm kit, as facilities for drying wet gear will be minimal. For those wanting to sign up for the Easter trip on Wednesday we will require payment of £45 before we leave on Saturday.
Transport for the Easter trip will be leaving at 10.30am from outside the union, please ensure that you are outside the union building at 10.15am. A reminder for those that have been on a weekend trip in past and for newer members we supply breakfast and evening meals on the trip but you will need to bring food for packed lunches for the Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
We will also being in the usual place of The Victoria Hotel for our Wednesday social from 8.30 onwards and hope to see many of you there.
